a little bit about me
hello!
my name is kp (she/he/fae), and i am a therapist [trainee] with a lifetime experience of resilience, depth, & collected wisdom.
me, as therapist
my heart-calling is to guide, midwife, & hold space for folks navigating the depths of life’s waters…
such as;
the grief that comes with loss of an identity, relationship, pregnancy, the death of a beloved…
adjustment and transition into parenthood and birth-processing
healing ancestral trauma and connecting with lineage to re-write stories
recovery from childhood trauma and accessing j-o-y
being a sensitive and finding a way through this very loud and very bright human experience
self-discovery within queerness, gender, life-paths, & identity shifts
finding and honoring your ‘spoons’ with neurodivergence, chronic illness, & chronic pain
striving towards more authentic and loving connection within partnerships, friendships, etc.
tapping into the unseen realms and refining your gifts and spiritual connection
accessing aliveness & expanding coping skills within a capitalist, white supremacist, patriarchal society
yearning for ritual & intentional containment of srites of passage through life//death//rebirth transitions
needing to experience being heard, seen, and understood
my intention is to be a compassionate witness and guide, supporting you in accessing your truest and most authentic self. i am here to help you discover & navigate your unique path to healing.
me, as human
my heart-calling consists of these touchstones because of my own lived journey & experience on planet earth.
my identity & positionality consist of being: a white, genderqueer/trans, queer, & radical faerie. i am neurodivergent, experience chronic pain, & have the privilege to have been accessing higher education for the past decade.
my early childhood experience introduced me to the lifelong companion of grief. i experienced the loss of a parent at a young age, as well as the perpetual loss of a stable, supportive, attuned, and safe childhood. although it was a painful beginning to this lifetime, it has ultimately provided me the sacred gifts that bring me to this work as a therapist. it has been through my own journey of healing trauma, navigating the waves of grief, finding more presence in my body and life, and surviving this world as a sensitive being that ultimately informs me on showing up for others who are suffering or lost.
my intimate connection with grief has always drawn me to the threshold of life and death, which i believe exists in any given moment. before becoming a therapist, i was a practicing licensed homebirth midwife. for a decade, i worked within that very threshold, supporting those moving through the most painful and profound moments of their life, welcoming babies earthside intentionally with compassion and softness, and offering integrative, holistic care to families within tremendous life transitions. working in that capacity ultimately informed me of my gifts in providing emotional and spiritual care, leading me into the journey to become a therapist (aka a midwife of the mind, heart, & soul).
beyond my work as a therapist, i also identify as an artist, a writer, a witch, a homesteader, an adventurer, a clairvoyant, a midwife, a cat & duck parent, and a spouse/wife-fae.
my wish is to draw from the root system of my own journey to offer you authentic, holistic, and meaningful care.
